The Problem:
When end users deploy 5G/LTE cellular routers connected to WirelessHART gateways they are faced with monitoring two distinct wireless pieces of equipment and wireless connections.
- The WirelessHART field mesh network and its high-side plant network connections
- The cellular 5G/LTE connection that relays data back to the operation center via a private or public cellular network
The Solution:
Centero’s INTREPID WirelessHART gateways are now natively integrated with Digi’s IX40 5G/LTE cellular routers. Once the initial configuration of the Digi cellular router is done, end users can monitor the cellular 5g/LTE wireless connection directly via the WirelessHART gateway interface.

- Eliminates the uncertainty of 5G/LTE cellular connectivity from the WirelessHART gateways to the operation center
- WirelessHART gateways can ship pre-configured for connectivity to operation center. This results in faster deployments with minimum burden on end users
